Approach to a mystery
UFO sightings at G-Lab
In the last few days an alarming rise was noted in the number of reported unindentified flying objects. The phenomena occured mostly on the terrace of the backyard, and could be observed through the windows of the kitchen.
A Crisis-Committee was formed on short notice, a grid of video and audio surveillance equipment, thermal cameras and motion detectors were deployed.
The obtained data revealed that the flying objects were mostly flowers (sometimes bulbs), slippers, little or medium-sized household- or gardening objects – moving at unexpectedly high speeds or at unusual angles. Further analysis of the images raised the possibility of some unidentified biotic activity on the terrace during the evolution of these phenomena. Some videocaptures showed a glimpse of a little, fast-moving black shadow flicking across the terrace, with a motion which seemed to be in accordance with a macroscopic version of Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle. We made further data-mining and the systematic search turned up surprising results: the attacked plants were all yellow, and the flying objects were formerly in close contact with humans (slippers, boots, gardening gloves, etc). Regarding to the little black, fast-moving spot, similar descriptions were reported in the captain’s log of an intergalactic cargo-ship, the Nostromo (after an overdue rescue mission to an alien ship, where a minor incident happened).
Of course, the first suspicioned was our two-month old newcomer, Fritzz von Hochen Berettyóburg, ensign at our Homeland Security Dept.Encounter of zero degree
Shortly frightening sounds were heard from the terrace and we understood that Dodó engaged a battle with the Unknown. Equipped with monitoring devices, we boldly went out to offer back-up for our knight and enlarge the boundaries of human knowledge – at whatever price to pay.

But surprise: the opponenent of our CI-HAS was the little ensign. The supposed fight, thought to be a close combat, hand to hand and teeth to teeth, turned up in a play between two friends. Mystery solved – case closed.
Supplementary note – the reportings of IFO’s (identified flying objects) remains an unsolved issue. But we are working on it.
